BRIGHTON TO HOST FIRST UK WHALE FESTIVAL

14.06.2011

Over the weekend of November 5th and 6th this year, Brighton will play host to the UK's first and largest event for people with a passion for whales and dolphins.

There are over a quarter of a million people who take whale and dolphin watching trips each year in the UK and millions more who love and care about the charismatic animals that draw some of the biggest crowds across the globe.

Brighton is full of bright ideas, packed each year with food, drink and even chocolate fairs and is well known across the country for being the home of many popular cultures. But never before has it been possible to bring the people of Brighton, so close to the most monumental, beautiful and mysterious of God's creatures.

Everyone who has ever been Whale Watching will have a story to tell about how it has changed their life! Literally!  Whales have grace and elegance beyond imagination and those who have had the chance to get up close have described the experience as 'Soul Stirring'.

There will be a chance to take a real-time whale watching trip, find yourself inside the weird world of the creature, discover the deep ocean and learn how whales talk, listen, think and feel.  Come to the event and be inspired by entertaining speakers including wildlife celebrities and some of the world's leading whale and dolphin experts. Bring children, friends and family to get involved with the many activities from rocky shore excursions to marine mammal medic training courses. There will be quiz shows, question and answer sessions, speakers corner, exclusive book launches and much, much more!

The Whale Festival will take place at the Hove Centre and will include a 'Special Evening' event. For all details including ticket prices (CHILDREN UNDER 16 ARE FREE) and the latest news, go to www.planetwhale.com/WhaleFest   Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
